80's ATC
for swap bot... I went with CYNDI LAUPER!!!!
I have always loved cyndi lauper-- she has helped to pave the way for so many musicians and youth. colorful hair, and stand out clothing is now much more widely accepted and admired. she's like the O.G. lady gaga. haha.
and by the way... here is my favorite cyndi song...
and even after all these years she still rocks it...

SCRAP PAGE
It's been awhile since I've done a real scrapbook layout...but I fell in love with kitschy digitals new calico dream kit.
I printed the digital files on 8.5 x 11" matte photo paper. I cut up the patchwork paper and turned them into paper flowers.
I also wanted to share my jessica hamby (from true blood) ATC I made for a swap...
We've got lots going on this weekend, and tomorrow is a holiday in Hawaii. Hopefully I'll have some fun photos to share.

LOVELY DANITA, AND GENIUS TIM HOLTZ
I bought these lovely stamps by danita art awhile back from the crescendoh shop. they are so cute and whimsical, and the perfect size for gift tags...
I made a mistake and bought a bottle of tim holtz distress stickles. I had meant to buy the regular glitter glue stickles but grabbed the wrong one.
I decided-- what the heck, I'll give it a try. and squeezed some on to the background of the red queen tag. when it dried...OH MY! BEAUTIFUL!
it has a slightly matte, chunky glitter look. very vintage-y effect...
I LOVE IT...and now will be out searching for more...look at all the wonderful colors!!

THANK YOU FOR BEING A FRIEND...
my sister hosted a "golden girls" themed ATC swap recently so I joined-- we used to looove golden girls marathons on lifetime. here's my card I'm sending out...
I also decided to do a "kawaii" version of my polaroid shaker card...
I used the kitschy digitals vintage cameras kit found here.
we had a quiet holiday. with em sick, we stayed low key and had some quality time at home. after being home friday night, all saturday, and all sunday...I had a little cabin fever and needed some shopping therapy! marc stayed home with em, and my mom and I went to ala moana...it was nice.
hope everyone had a happy 4th!

WARNING: MORE ON TWILIGHT
remember that post I did about the cute twilight-y things I found on etsy? Well, right after seeing that cute "edward" card, I went straight out and searched for the stamps to make my own card...
I think I am officially addicted to greeting farm stamps. next I'll have to search for alice, jasper, jacob...etc. (which yes, they do have too!)
em is sick this weekend so I'm homebound, and have some time to make things since she's sleeping a lot. poor thing. she's still in good mood so far though, just not as energetic. be back soon.
INSPIRED BY POLAROID... and "HEY YA"
Finally got a chance to work on this card:
Used: love elsie paper, my own photo, dymo tape, sequins, and "shake it" shaker card pouches.
Remember having to cut out transparencies and use foam squares to make those old school shaker cards? the shake it pouches make it sooo easy...all you do is stick it on! Found it while browsing my favorite scrapbook store here in Hawaii. Be back later with (hopefully) more hand made things...

LADY GAGA ATC
Lady Gaga is such an inspiring person. I remember her Ellen interview where she described herself as "freak", and an outsider. She wants people know that it's okay to be yourselves.
Don't forget this amazing video...POKER FACE

DIGITAL SCRAP
just playing around with a quick page. haven't made a digital page for awhile. but today after work--the urge came up, so I decided to stop at office max for extra printer ink and photo paper.
I USED: parasol tiniest garden gingham paper, kitschy digitals pink flower, and washi tape frame, "journal", "rebekah's birthday", and "arial" fonts.
